Synopsis: Immediate syntax checks
Description

It would be nice if editor can detect syntax errors and warnings and highlight them inline as well as outline (using a vertical bar, an icon of a particular color, etc.).

Syntax warnings include obsolete language constructs as well as unused code (such as unused local variables). For them it should be possible to suggest a replacement, so that manual editing is not required.
